About me
Mirna Molnár-Schwake,
I am a lifestyle medicine physician with a coaching and mentoring approach.
Since I was a kid, I knew I wanted to help people. But how exactly, I searched for a long time. Even during medical school, I felt that in classical healthcare—with its assembly-line nature, lack of time, and limited attention—the essential element was lost: the human being.
I kept asking myself: Who is this patient who walks in? What does their life look like? What circumstances, background, and family are part of it? In what larger system do they exist?

I have always liked to view people within their systems—not isolated from their environment or inner world. Microcosm within macrocosm. After my studies, I first found this perspective reflected in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Its magical world immediately captivated me: finally, the person had a backstory, feelings, thoughts, a fate, a soul, a spirit—and was comprehensibly embedded in nature.
Later, I found the same systemic perspective in functional medicine. Here, not only are symptoms treated, but the deeper underlying causes are uncovered. This allows complex symptom patterns to be traced back to their shared triggers.
The final missing link was modern lifestyle medicine, which shifts the focus away from genetics toward lifestyle. Even if genetics “loads the gun,” lifestyle “pulls the trigger.” This means most diseases—even those with a family history—can be prevented, controlled, or even reversed through a healthy lifestyle. For most modern civilization diseases, we are not at the mercy of our genes—the control is in our hands!
From all these influences, I developed my own approach and toolbox, combining Eastern and Western systems, traditional and modern medicine, health coaching, and mentoring—so that each person can gradually regain and rebuild their vitality.
My Methods
I integrate the latest scientific findings from modern, evidence-based research with ancient, traditional knowledge: the benefits of functional medicine and a whole-food, plant-based diet with the wisdom of Chinese Medicine and the Five Elements theory. At the same time, I tailor each step and pace individually to you—your needs, your preferences, and your practical possibilities. After all, no one knows your life better than you.
My Personal Life
I live in Potsdam, Germany with my husband and daughter. I have extensive first-hand experience balancing the demands of everyday life as a working mother while striving to build mental and physical well-being. This allows me to support my clients not only from a professional perspective, but also with a deep understanding of their personal challenges.

"I had long felt that my breathing was problematic—while swimming, singing, exercising. During emotional challenges, I almost felt like I was suffocating.

"I reached out to Mirna for help when I was completely drained, too tired to lift my head, and utterly lost and hopeless amid the labyrinth of my many symptoms. My mood, my joy for life—everything was at rock bottom.
I was afraid to start a lifestyle change because I love food too much to submit to a restrictive diet—especially as a celiac patient who must avoid gluten for life. At the same time, I had no energy to turn my life upside down or tackle major changes.
